But I'm working on it. So here's my kids entry for this week's theme - Self-Portrait.
I think I'll have to post an "out-takes" version as well because it took me about 800 pictures to get even one good one. I struggle with the holding the camera out and pushing the button. Doesn't anyone else think these cameras are just too big to do this with?! Good thing I've been working out. Or I haven't. Whatever.

Go see more self-portraits over at I Heart Faces!

I'm right there with you on self portraits but that pic turned out great!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSmaller cameras are definitely better to do this with. I love the working out comment...I feel like that too. I think the picture is cute, just enough of you to get you in the pic but mostly focusing in on your beautiful little girl.
ReplyDeleteThis picture is wonderful! Your daughter is a beauty - love the headband!
ReplyDeleteMy arms are never long enough - Love the composition on this one!!!
ReplyDeleteAn SLR camera is definitely hard to do a self portrait with... you could always use the timer. I hate taking pictures of myself!
ReplyDeleteLOL, on holding the camera up! I'm right there with you Sister...lol!
ReplyDeleteYa'll are the cutest.
ReplyDeleteYes, smaller cameras are so much easier to use! But the picture you have is simply BEAUTIFUL! It's a MOMMY MOMENT! Something so casual that they happen everyday, but when our babies are 21, we'll look back and treasure that we have that photo.
ReplyDeleteAnd you are BEAUTIFUL!
What a sweet and creative pic.
ReplyDeleteI like that picture...very creative and the subjects are very pretty. thanks for stopping by my site.
ReplyDeleteI got your e-mail! Thank you so much! We are actually located in Kingston. I have no idea how far from Burlington that is. I LOVE this picture of you and Jayci! You don't have to hide that beautiful face Becca! LOL
ReplyDeleteEveryone in my household is sick sick sick. We are all feeling pretty rotten around here! Hope everyone is well in your household. I got a huge kick out of your previous post. I am in awe of that seven month old! You should not even consider comparing Jayci to that baby because she is unreal! LOL You are a fantastic Momma I can tell and Jayci will grow up loving and looking up to the Lord -- I know it :) You are the greatest roll model ever!
He he he! Yeah, I'd love to see an outtakes post! I know, this was a tough week...but FUN, right?!?!
ReplyDeleteYou and your daughter are so pretty! And her blue eyes are stunning!

ReplyDeleteThat's a great shot! I liked the one with her on the counter too :) She has very pretty eyes.
ReplyDeleteThis was hard wasn't it!! I scrolled up and you had some great pics. I love you out of focus behind your daughter. It makes a statement.
ReplyDeleteWe live near Atlanta. Are you all part of an inner city ministry?
nothing like hiding behind a beautiful baby to take the focus off self...I totally feel your pain, but I think it was worth it cause I love your picture....now go clean your mirror :D
ReplyDeleteThat turned out great! I wish I had a point and shoot just for the silly self portraits...lol My camera is WAY too big for all of that! haha I love the shot you chose, your baby girl has BEAUTIFUL eyes! Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog. I agree about the self-portrait. But since my kids were in it too, I was ok with that. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love your picture, your daughter is adorable! And just enough of you! Self-portraits are not fun, but I love your out-takes too!!
ReplyDeleteBecca, I know what you mean. Self-portraits are so awkward, but I think your photos are Great! Don't feel so bad about your mirrors. My mirrors never clean.

ReplyDeleteWhat cute pictures! Your daughter has such pretty blue eyes!
ReplyDeletei love it! so cute!
ReplyDeleteI only have a tiny point and shoot so i used that...maybe bigger isn't better :)
It looks like you do have a bigger camera, I imagine that would make things quite a bit harder. Your daughter must have her dad's eyes- I'm a brown eyed mama with blue eyed kiddos, too, lol Thanks for coming by my blog, hope to see more of you :)

Thanks for the hair compliment! I LOVED your "outtakes" post. HILARIOUS! And I am TOTALLY with you on thinking that these cameras are definitely too big to take self portraits with. I do believe that is what they meant when they added the word "challenge" into this week's category. :) And just for the record...that "sexy face" picture is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment. Your little girl. . . how adorable . . & those eyes! I love the headband! I want one for my little girl.
ReplyDeleteLove it! What a doll your baby is!
ReplyDeletevery cute! and i am totally with you on how hard it is to hold the big camera out in front of me without camera shake! i seriously had to take breaks to let my muscles rest! whew! so i put the smaller 50 mm on my camera which created another problem, my arms weren't quite long enough! oh well! it's still fun!
ReplyDeleteWhat a super cute photo! You two are just darling.
ReplyDeletei hope you are glad you have these photos of yourself (saw the above post too!)- because your are beautiful and they are lovely memories to capture!
