Christmas Trees and Scary Santa Clause

This past weekend, we went to a Christmas tree "farm" to get our tree. I will admit it's a little disappointing to decorate my parents' house and not my own, but oh well. Anyways, at the tree farm you can technically cut your own tree, but the ones available to cut yourself are a little disappointing to say the least. Instead, we usually just pick one of the pre-cut ones they bring in.

There was also a festive little set up at the tree farm while we were there, complete with food, crafts, a bounce house, and Santa.

This, however, was Jayci's reaction when we asked if she wanted to go see Santa.
I can't say I blame her, really, because he was by far the creepiest santa I've ever seen. For some odd reason he painted his face white with red cheeks. Which just made him scary and not jolly at all. I did make my sister hold Jayci for a picture with him so that I could show y'all just how weird he was. Plus he was just HUGE. Keep in mind that my sister and I are like 5'11'' . . .
Luckily, the rest of the time was fun and merry and we brought home a beautiful tree!

  8. My daughter is 5 and still afraid of Santa. And I agree, this Santa was quite creepy indeed!!

  10. Decorating the parents house isn't the same! I'm right there with ya. We only moved down our clothes and what fit in our two cars when we moved and we couldn't fit any of our Christmas stuff, so we don't even have any of our own stuff at his parents house. Next year though! For both of us! :)
